Project Overview

A food delivery startup entering a competitive market needed a brand identity that balanced two qualities that rarely go together: playful energy and trustworthiness. The app needed to feel fun — food should be joyful — but customers also needed to trust that their order would arrive correctly and on time. The brand identity had to convey both.

What We Did

  • Designed a friendly, memorable logo — a fork-and-spoon mark with a subtle smile built into the negative space, paired with a bouncy wordmark that feels energetic without being childish
  • Created a vibrant colour palette anchored in warm orange and deep purple — appetite-stimulating and energetic for the brand, with a calming green for trust signals like delivery tracking and order confirmations
  • Designed a custom icon set of 50+ icons covering food categories, delivery statuses, app navigation, and dietary labels — consistent in style and readable at the small sizes needed for a mobile interface
  • Created the app icon design — a distinctive, recognisable mark that stands out on a crowded home screen and works across iOS and Android
  • Delivered brand guidelines covering digital and physical touchpoints — from in-app UI elements and push notifications to rider bags, restaurant partner stickers, and customer mailers
