If you are engaging us to carry out work, the project terms and written scope you receive are the agreement that governs that work. This page covers your use of the website itself — reading it, using its forms, and relying on what it says.

Using this website

Quotes and proposals

Prices shown on this website are starting points, not quotes. They indicate what a typical project of that kind costs and help you judge whether we are likely to be within your budget. The figure that applies to your project is the one in the written proposal we send you after a consultation.

A proposal sets out the scope of work, the deliverables, the timeline and the fixed price. It remains valid for the period stated in it — usually around 30 days — because our availability and costs can change. Once you accept it in writing, the price and scope are fixed for that project.

Nothing on this website constitutes an offer capable of acceptance, and no project begins until we have a written agreement in place. If you would like a proposal, start with a free consultation.

Where a project needs more than the proposal covers

If a project grows beyond the agreed scope, we will not simply carry on and bill you for it. We will tell you what the additional work involves, what it would cost, and let you decide whether to proceed. You can see how we price work on our pricing page.

Intellectual property

The content of this website — text, design, layout, graphics, logo and code — is owned by Jones Digital or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. Your use of the site does not transfer any of those rights to you.

Case studies, images and examples of client work shown on this site are used with the client's agreement, and the copyright position on that work is explained in the Copyright Policy. If you are a client and would rather your project was not shown, tell us and we will remove it.

If you send us material — briefs, images, copy, documents or anything else — you confirm that you have the right to send it and that using it as part of your project will not infringe anyone else's rights. We will only use it for the purpose of the work you have asked us to do.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website — including loss of profits, business or data — where that loss is not a reasonably foreseeable consequence of our actions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

We will not change these terms retrospectively in a way that removes a right you already had. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site rather than quietly editing the page.

Entire agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy, Cookie and Copyright Policies, form the whole agreement between you and Jones Digital in relation to your use of this website. They replace anything said or written previously about it.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them continue to apply — one clause failing does not bring the whole agreement down. If we do not enforce something immediately, that does not mean we have given up the right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else without our agreement. We may transfer ours where it does not reduce your protections — for example if the business were ever sold.
