Design that's accessible to all
We believe the web should work for everyone. That's why accessibility is woven into everything we design and build — not bolted on as an afterthought.
Our Commitment
Jones Digital is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Our Standards
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. This includes ensuring our websites are:
Perceivable
Content is presented in ways users can perceive — including text alternatives for images, captions for video, and sufficient colour contrast.
Operable
All functionality is available from a keyboard. Users can navigate, interact, and complete tasks without requiring a mouse.
Understandable
Content is readable and predictable. Navigation is consistent, error messages are clear, and forms are labelled properly.
Robust
Content works with current and future assistive technologies, including screen readers, magnifiers, and voice input.
What We Do to Stay Accessible
Accessibility-first design. Every website we create starts with an accessible foundation — semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, ARIA landmarks, and keyboard-navigable interfaces.
Colour contrast compliance. We ensure all text meets or exceeds WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds, so content remains readable for users with low vision or colour blindness.
Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements — links, buttons, forms, menus — are fully operable via keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible and logical.
Screen reader support. We use proper labels, alt text, and ARIA attributes so assistive technologies can interpret and convey content accurately.
Responsive and scalable. Content adapts to different screen sizes without loss of functionality. Text can be resized up to 200% without breaking layout or readability.
Ongoing review. We test our sites with automated tools during development and conduct manual reviews to catch issues that tools can miss.
